Packet Scheduling Setting
You can set the switch to service the queues based on a strict rule that requires all traffic in a higher priority
queue to be processed before lower priority queues are serviced, Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ), or Weighted
Round-Robin (WRR) queuing that specifies a relative weight of each queue. The traffic classes are mapped to
one of the eight egress queues provided for each port. You can assign a weight to each of these queues (and
thereby to the corresponding traffic priorities). This weight sets the frequency at which each queue will be polled
for service, and subsequently affects the response time for software applications assigned a specific priority
value.
Web Smart switch interface
To configure port-level DSCP remarking,
1. Click Configuration, QoS, Packet Scheduling.
2. Select the scheduling algorithm, WFQ or WRR.
3. Map scheduling weights to a queue ID, or select “Strict.”
4. Click Apply.

Hint§
The following parameters are shown on the DSCP-based Priority Setting page:
■ Scheduling Algorithm - Select the service method used for port egress queues.
■ Weight-fair-queue - Service the egress queues containing data based on the weight of the queue compared
