IP Filter Configurations
IP Filter Security is a feature that filters IP traffic on port interfaces based on manually configured entries in the
IP Filter table, or allowed IP address assignment through DHCP. IP Filter Security can be used to prevent traffic
attacks caused when a host tries to use the IP address of a neighbor to access the network.
Web Smart switch interface
To configure IP Filter settings:
1. Click Security, IP Filter Setting.
2. Select one or more ports to configure.
3. Select the mode Static and set an IP address, or select DHCP.
4. Select ports on which to allow traffic to DHCP servers.
5. Click Apply.

The following parameters are shown on the IP Filter Configurations page.
■Mode – Configure the switch to filter traffic based on IP addresses. (Default: IP Filter Disable)
■ IP Filter Disable – Disable IP filtering on the port.
■ Static – Enable traffic filtering based on IP addresses configured in the table.
■ DHCP – Enable traffic filtering based on IP addresses assigned through DHCP.
