SNMP Setting
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) monitor network switches through TCP/IP protocol suite. It
offers automatic network management and avoids the physical differences between various switches, and thus
provides automatic management of products from different manufacturers.
Web Smart switch interface
To specify SNMP system settings:
1. Click Configuration, SNMP Setting.
2. Enable SNMP for the switch.
3. Configure the Name, Location, and Contact information.
4. Define at least one new community string with read-write access.
5. Delete the default “private” string for security reasons.
6. Click Apply.
