Operating the expansion card
Ê Insert the expansion card fastened to the removal tool in the PCI slot.
Ê Close the expansion card lock (see position #2 in figure 23 on page 103) by
folding it down. Make sure that the expansion card lock engages.
Ê If necessary, connect the cables on the expansion card.
Ê Activate the expansion card using either the relevant PCI hot-plug software
or by pressing the light-pipe switch (see position #1 in figure 23 on
page 103).
The light-pipe switch flashes green. The slot is in the enable sequence.
Ê Wait until the light-pipe switch is constantly green.
The slot is now powered on.
I If the light-pipe switch continues to flash, an error has occurred.
Remove the expansion card and repeat the procedure as described
above.
Ê Close the server (see "Opening/Closing the server" on page 125).
