4. Remove the system board from the base enclosure (2).
5. (15.6-in models only) If it is necessary to remove the optical drive connector board from the system
board, pull the optical drive connector board straight off the system board. The optical drive
connector board is available using spare part number 535862-001.
Reverse this procedure to install the system board.

Before removing the SIM, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
