5.1.22 (M) SCSI BUFFER PARAMETERS
<These settings are only adjustable with the host control software.>
When you press <M>, a menu displays the current settings of the data buffer on the SCSI
interface board as shown in figure 5-33 below.

The values displayed have the following function and ranges.
UPPER THRESHOLD (0-15) : A value that indicates the data level in the buffer (FULL is 15
and EMPTY is 0) which causes the scanner to reduce speed to the next slower speed.
LOWER THRESHOLD (0-15) : A value that indicates the data level in the buffer (FULL is 15
and EMPTY is 0) which causes the scanner to increase speed to the next faster speed.
NUMBER OF CAMERAS ADDED (1-255) : The number of dummy cameras that are added
to or removed from the scan sequence each time a threshold is reached.
LINE UPDATE RATE (1-255) : The SCSI buffer level is checked after this number of scan
lines has occurred.
