7.5 Scan to E-mail
Scan to E-mail is the function that transmits image data scanned by the copier as a
file attached to e-mail.
If the size of the file attached to e-mail is limited and if a file size exceeds this limit,
the file may be divided (in binary units) for transmission. For mail (file) division
setting, see “Scan to E-mail Setting” of chapter 7. p.88
1. Using Network Management Utility Light, make the mail transmission setting
and option setting.
2. Using Network Management Utility Light, make the setting for One-Touch Key
Registration or One Time Registration.
The destination and the destination e-mail address can be set on the One-Touch
Key Registration screen, and the destination, destination e-mail address, and
other scan mode functions can be set on the One Time Registration screen.

3. On the copier control panel, specify the destination to which the scanned data is
to be transmitted.
The destination is set by selecting the key, in which One-Touch Key Registration
or One Time Registration has been made in step 2, or through direct input.

4. On the copier control panel, specify the document scan mode.
5. Press the Start key on the copier. This lets the copier scan the document and
send the scanned data to the mail server by attaching it to an e-mail message.
6. From the PC, receive the e-mail stored in the mail server.
Check the file attached to the e-mail.
