What is an Energy Star Machine?
Energy Star Machines have a feature that allows them to
automatically turn off or go to sleep after a period of inactivity,
ensuring night and weekend shut off.
Laser Safety
This FAX contains a page printer which operates by means of a laser. There is no possibility
of danger from the laser, provided the FAX is operated according to the instructions in this
manual provided.
Since radiation emitted by the laser is completely confined within protective housing, the
laser beam cannot escape from the machine during any phase of user operation.

Human Services (DHHS) Radiation Performance Standard according to the Food, Drug and
Cosmetic Act of 1990. This means that the FAX does not produce hazardous laser radiation.
