Beforeinstallingthisequipment,usersshouldensurethatitisper missibletobeconnectedtothefacilitiesofthe

localtelecommunicationscompany.Theequipmentmustalsobeinstalledusinganacceptablemethodof

connection.Thecustomershouldbeawarethatcompliancewiththeaboveconditionsmaynotprevent

degradationofservice

insomesituations.

RepairstocertifiedequipmentshouldbemadebyanauthorizedCanadianmaintenancefacilitydesignatedby

thesupplier.Anyrepairsoralterationsmadebytheusertothisequipment,orequipmentmalfunctions,may

givethetelecommunicationscompanycausetorequesttheusertodisconnecttheequipment.

Usersshould

ensurefortheirownprotectionthattheelectricalgroundconnectionsofthepowerutility,

telephonelinesandinternalmetallicwaterpipesystem,ifpresent,areconnectedtogether.Thisprecautionmay

beparticularlyimportantinruralareas.

Caution:Usersshouldnotattempttomakesuchconnectionsthemselves,butshould contacttheappropriate



electricinspectionauthority,orelectrician,asappropriate.
