2. Check the LAN IP address of your router, which is usually printed on a label on the bottom or
at the rear of the device.
Note how the address is comprised of four numbers separated by period characters. If
necessary, change the LAN IP address of the modem router so that the two left-most numbers
of the address are the same as the two left-most numbers of the router’s LAN IP address, and
the third number in the modem router’s address is different from the third number in the
router’s address. For example, if the router’s LAN IP address is the same as the modem
router’s default address (192.168.0.1), change the LAN IP address of the modem router to
192.168.1.1.

Tip: If you change the LAN IP address of the modem router, write the new address
on a sticky label and attach it to the bottom of the unit. You will need the new
address to log in to the modem router in the future.
