Symptom Check the following
The projector cannot be
found when using the
Search Projector
function of the Wireless
Manager.
• Check if the computer and the projector are
too far apart, or if something is between
them and obstructing signal transmission
and reception. Refer to page 5 also.
• Check if network settings such as the IP
address and subnet mask are correct.
• Has TCP/IP been installed to the computer?
(Page 32)
• Has the WEP function been enabled? If
using a wireless card other than the optional
card or if using an access point and the WEP
function has been enabled, the computer
cannot communicate with the projector.
Disable the WEP function.
• In Ad Hoc mode, the channel settings for the
projector and computer must be the same.
• In Infrastructure mode, the projector and
computer must be set to the same SSID as
the access point being used. In addition,
check if any functions that limit the way that
the computer can communicate with the
access point are being used.
Images appear in the
“Image List” screen of
the Wireless Manager,
but some images do not
appear and errors also
appear.
• If encryption has been set, check that the
encryption keys are the same for both the
projector and the computer.
• Images in formats such as JPEG have many
different sub-formats, and some of these
sub-formats may not display properly.
The image projected is
different from the image
that was transmitted.
• If a file with the same filename and same file
size but in a different folder was previously
transmitted to the projector, the previous file
will be projected instead of the new file.
Change the name of the other file and then
re-transmit the new file.
Images do not appear
even though the
encryption key has
been set correctly.
• Turn off the power supply for the projector
while referring to “Turning off the power” in
the PT-L712E Operating Instructions, and
then turn the power back on.
