Component replacement

Air lter and electrostatic lter
The air lter should be replaced when cleaning is ineffective.
A replacement air lter / electrostatic lter is available separately (service component).
Contact your dealer for the optional air lter and electrostatic lter.
Also, please replace the air lter and electrostatic lter when replacing the lamp unit.
(An air lter and electrostatic lter are included with the [ET-LAA110] replacement lamp unit.)

Lamp unit
The lamp unit is a consumable component. See “When to replace the lamp unit” (
page
76) about the lifespan.
Contact your dealer if you wish to purchase a replacement lamp unit (ET-LAA110: Service component).
It is recommended that specialized engineers perform lamp unit replacement. Contact your dealer.
Attention
Wait until the lamp unit has cooled sufciently before replacing (wait one hour or longer).

The lamp cover gets very hot, and contact with it can cause burns.
Before replacing the lamp unit

A Phillips screwdriver is necessary when carrying out
z
replacement. Hold the screwdriver rmly.
The light source lamp is a glass component. If it is hit on a hard
z
object or dropped, breakage may occur.
Be careful when handling a light source lamp.
Do not disassemble or modify the lamp unit.

Grip the handle when you remove the lamp unit. Some parts of
z
the lamp unit are sharpened and may cause injury.
The lamp may be ruptured. Care should be taken not to scatter
z
pieces of the broken lamp glass when replacing the lamp unit.
Pieces of the broken lamp may fall from the lamp unit especially
when the projector is mounted on the ceiling, so when replacing
the lamp unit do not stand directly underneath it or position your
face close to it.
The lamp contains mercury. Contact the local government ofce
z
or distributor for the correct disposal of the old lamp unit.

Be sure to use the lamp unit specied.
