This section helps you resolve problems you may encounter while setting up or using your UP-1100 Data Projector.
Troubleshooting
Common Problems & Solutions
Problem
Does not turn on
No picture
Image isn’t square to the screen
Picture is blurred
Remote control does not work
The STATUS indicator is lit or
blinking
Cross color in RGB mode
Check These Items
Check that the cord is plugged in and that the power switch on the back panel is
on. (See page 16.)
Check the status light to see if the projector has overheated or the lamp usage
exceeds 1100 hours. (See pages 31, 29, and 32.)
Use the menu icons to select your source (Video, S-Video, or RGB). (See page
21.)
Ensure your cables are connected properly. (See pages 11 to 15.)
Adjust the brightness and contrast. (See page 27.)
Remove the lens cap. (See page 16.)
Is the POWER indicator blinking? (See page 16.)
Reposition the projector to improve its angle to the screen. (See page 16.)
Adjust the focus. (See page 17.)
Reposition the projector to improve its angle to the screen. (See page 16.)
Ensure that the distance between the projector and screen is within the adjustment
range of the lens. (See pages 9 and 10.)
Install new batteries. (See page 5.)
Make sure there are no obstacles between you and the projector.
Stand within 13 feet (4m) of the projector. (See page 5.)

If “Auto Picture” is off, turn it on. If “Auto Picture” is on, turn it off and balance
the image with the Picture Adjustment icon and Fine Picture Adjustment icon.
