v Auto Paper Select Priority
As a default, Auto Paper Select is
selected. You can cancel this set-
ting. See p.23 “Selecting Copy Pa-
per”.

v Auto Tray Switching
If you load paper of the same size
in two or more trays, the machine
automatically shifts to the other
tray when the first tray in use runs
out of paper (when Auto Paper Se-
lect is selected.) This function is
called "Auto Tray Switching". This
setting specifies whether to use
Auto Tray Switching or not.
Note
r Default: With image rotation
r [With image rotation] Use this to
copy with Auto Tray Switching.
r [Without image rotation] Only cop-
ies with Auto Tray Switching if
you load paper of the same size
and in the same direction in two
or more trays. If the paper is not
the same size or in the same ori-
entation, copying is interrupted
and "
Load paper." appears.
r [OFF] When a paper tray runs
out of paper, copying is inter-
rupted and "
Load paper." ap-
pears.
v Paper Display
You can choose to have the availa-
ble paper trays and sizes shown on
the initial display.

r If you select [Hide], the display is
shown as below. Press [Auto Pa-
per Select] to display paper sizes.
v Original Type Priority
You can select the type of originals
to be effective when the power is
turned on, reset or modes are
cleared. See p.22 “Selecting Origi-
nal Type Setting”.
