About CDs and floppy disks
My CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive tray does not open
To open the CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive, proceed as follows:
With the eject button:
1 Make sure the power is turned on.
2 Press the eject button on the disc drive.
With the My Computer icon:
1 Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows
®
desktop.
2 Right-click the Compact Disc icon.
3 Select the Eject option from the pop-up menu.
I cannot play a CD
After inserting the CD, wait for a few seconds for the system to detect it before you try to access it.
Make sure the label of the disc is facing outwards.
If the disc requires software, make sure the software is installed according to the instructions of the
program.
Check the volume of your speakers.
Clean the disc with an appropriate cleaner.
Moisture condensation may have occurred. Leave the computer for at least 1 hour before turning it on.
