Whenusingfanfold
(continuous) paper, this ShortTear
Off option allows you to tear off one sheet of paper
withouthavingtoejectthewholeofthefollowingsheet.
Ifthisoptionisset[ON*],whenthepaperreachesthetop
of the form,it will automaticallybe advanceda little,
allowingyouto tearoffthepapereasily.Setthisoption
to IOFFIif Youdo not wantto useit.
Whenusingfanfold(continuous)paper,you may wish
printingto stopa littlebeforethebottomof eachshee~
andstartprintingaLittleafterthebegimingofthenext(in
otherwords,skippingoverrheperforation).Thisisuseful
ifyouwanttoproduceprogramlistings,etc.Thiscanbe
enabledbysettingthisoption[ONI,or,ifusingsoftware
whichperformsthisfunctionautomatically,itcanbe set
[OFF].
If sel [ONI,thiswillexpandallreceivedcarriagereturn
codesto a linefeedand carriagereturnpair. However,
thismaybe set
[OFF*Iifyoursoftwaredemandsit.
If set [ON*],thisfunctionwillexpandallreceivedline
feedcodesto a carriagereturnandline-feedpair.How-
ever, this may be set [OFF] if you do not want to be
expanded.
Thissetsthenumberoflinesperverticalinchwhichwill
be printedto [3LPI],[4LPI], [6LPI*]or [8LPI].
ThepagelengthmaybesetbymeansoftheDIPswitches
[DIP-SW*](seeChapter5 for details)or to any of the
followinglengths(in inches):
[31,[3.51,[41,[5.51,[61,
[7],[8],[8.5],[11.7]
or [14].A4 paperis equivalentto
11.7inches,whiletheDIP switchsettingsof 11inches
and12incheswillnormallybeusedforfanfoldpaper.
