Chapter 4: Paper Loading and Orientation ❖ 4-15
If you are not changing paper size, go to Step 2.

Adjust the end and width guides to fit the size of paper
you are loading.

Lift up one side of the end guide (1) at the rear of the
tray, then lift up the other side of the end guide.

Pull out the tray to lengthen it, or push it in to shorten
it.

Press both sides of the end guide down until it clicks
into place at the desired length.

Slide the width guide (2) to fit the width of the paper.

Load paper. Refer to Table 4.4 on page 4-16 for correct
paper orientation.
The type of paper loaded (plain, prepunched,
letterhead, transparency, etc.) must be set using the
Tray 2 Type (or Tray 3 Type) item in the Control
Panel’s Tray Menu (refer to Chapter 3 of the System
Administrator Guide).
