Ethernet 10-Base-T adapter
An IP addressable 10-Base-T Ethernet adapter is available for the iTherm
®
280 printer.
It provides for web page configuration and supports bi-directional RAW and Telnet
interfaces. All protocols are implemented to the extent necessary to support printing
from Windows™ platforms; specific protocols supported include the following:
• Line Printer Daemon Protocol (LPR) – RFC1179
• Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) – RFC1157
• Printer MIB – RFC1759
• Port 9100 (Raw data)
• Service Location Protocol (SLP) – RFC2165
• The TFTP Protocol (Revision 2) – RFC1350
• Telnet COM Port Control Option – RFC2217
• Hypertext Transfer Protocol – HTTP/1.1 – RFC2616

Note: The Ethernet adapter supports only the Ithaca Cash Drawer
interface.
802.11b Wireless Interface
An 802.11b wireless interface is available for the iTherm
®
280 printer, allowing wireless
operation of the printer within a specified distance of a base unit. Contact TransAct
technical support for more information on this interface.
