You can repair some types of disk damage by using the Disk First Aid
program, which is on the Macintosh Performa CD: Performa Software, a CD
that came with your computer.
1 Start up your computer from the
Macintosh Performa CD: Performa Software

2Click the Disk First Aid icon in the Launcher to open the Disk First Aid program.
3Click the icon of the disk you want to test.
Disk icons appear in a box at the top of the Disk First Aid window.
