PC Card Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause Action
PC Card does
not work.
Card improperly
inserted.
Device drivers missing
or improperly installed.
Card not supported.
Zoomed Video Card
inserted in top slot.
Insert the card label-side up. When card is inserted
properly, you should hear at least 1 short beep. Two
beeps indicate the card has been inserted properly
and recognized.
Run the troubleshooting wizard from the operating
system’s on-line help.
Refer to the Compaq Windows Enterprise Web site
for a list of supported PC Cards.
Only the bottom PC Card slot supports Zoomed
Video functionality. Remove the card and install it
in the bottom slot.
Network card
does not work
despite a
double beep
indicating the
network card
was properly
recognized and
configured by
your notebook
computer.
Network configuration
problem.
