How to Replace Batteries
Use these instructions to replace the R6000 battery packs.
Before Replacing Batteries
Place the Compaq R6000 UPS in Bypass mode (See Chapter 3, “Operation”).
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not attempt to replace
batteries unless all battery circuit breakers (UPS and any connected Extended
Runtime Modules) are in the OFF position. There is a 400Vdc across the
batteries.
Removing the Battery Packs
Follow this procedure to remove the battery packs:
1.
Place the Compaq R6000 UPS in Bypass mode using the manual switch
located at the rear of the UPS.
