Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Maintaining the Axim
To conduct periodic maintenance of your device, use the Dell Axim Self
Diagnostic Utility available on the Getting Started CD. This diagnostic utility
tests many features of your device: buttons, operating system version, battery
status, video play, LED, driver, mirror mode, Bluetooth, Wireless, and
USB Link Test.
Installing the Diagnostic Utility
To install the utility:

Create an ActiveSync connection between the device and a computer.

Insert the Getting Started CD into the computer’s CD-ROM drive.

Enhance Your Experience
→
Tools.

On the tools selection menu, select
Pocket PC Applications.

Scroll down the list until you see
Dell Axim X50/X50v Self-Diagnostic
Utility.

Install

Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Self-Diagnostic Utility.
To run a diagnostic, tap
Start
→
Programs
→
Axim Self-Diagnostics.
