Chassis Intrusion Switch
Removing the Chassis Intrusion Switch

support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered
by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the
product.

Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system
from the electrical outlet.

Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 45.

Disconnect the chassis intrusion switch cable from the INTRUSION
connector on the system board. See Figure 6-1.

Slide the chassis intrusion switch out of the securing bracket notch. See
Figure 3-24.
