30 Printing on CDs and DVDs
Printing on CDs and DVDs
You can use your R1900 Series and the Epson Print CD software that came with it
to print label designs directly onto ink jet-printable CDs or DVDs.
Before you load a CD or DVD, be sure to clean the rollers inside the printer, as
described below. Also burn files, music, or video onto your CD or DVD before
printing on it to prevent errors.
Then follow the steps in these sections:
■ “Loading a CD or DVD” on page 31
■ “Printing on a CD or DVD” on page 32
■ “Removing Your Printed CD/DVD” on page 33
Note:
If you’re using discs where the printable area extends to within 0.16 inch (4 mm) of the
edge of the center hole, you may need to adjust the Inner Diameter setting in the File
menu of the Epson Print CD software. See the program’s Help utility for instructions.
Cleaning the Rollers
Before you print on a CD or DVD, it’s a good idea to clean the rollers inside the
printer by feeding several sheets of plain paper through it.
1. Turn on the printer.
2. Load several sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder (see page 6).
3. Press the I paper button to feed the paper through the printer.
4. Press the I paper button again to eject the paper.
5. Feed several sheets of paper in this way to completely clean the rollers.
