The Calculate button is not enabled until the required data is entered and the
scales are selected.
Dialog information
The user must select the Reference Scale and UUT Scale and enter Reference
Temperatures and UUT Resistances for the Triple Point of Water, Low Range,
and High Range, as applicable.
The choices for the reference scale are °C, °F, or K. The choices for the UUT
scale are Ohms or KOhms.
The reference temperatures are the temperature readings taken from the refer
-
ence probe at the nominal temperatures. The UUT resistances are the readings
taken from the test probes at the nominal temperatures.
The yellow boxes designate the values that must be filled in for the type of co
-
efficients being calculated to produce an exact solution. Entering values into
the white boxes is optional and produces an overdetermined solution. Section
3.8, Methods Used for Calculating Coefficients, contains additional
information.
The Import button reads raw data in from an ASCII text file. The data must be
stored in the text file in the format required for calculating ITS-90 coefficients.
The import file format for ITS-90 coefficients is discussed in Section 3.4.1.
The Export button saves the current raw data to an ASCII text file.
The Calculate button calculates the coefficients and displays the Coefficients
and Residuals dialog.
The Cancel button returns to the Platinum Probe Coefficients dialog.
