Prior to this step: Remove the pods, front door, and scanner.
NOTE: The hinge mechanism cannot be easily removed until the formatter is removed, due to the
presence of the flat flexible cable.
1 Remove the two screws on the top of the front cover.
2 Slightly extend the stabilizer bars and close the door hinge mechanism against the
printer frame.
