Accessing the
3Com ISD MIB
The 3Com Management Information Base (MIB) for the Integrated Systems
Division (ISD) describes commands that enable you to manage 3Com
SNMP-based products. The MIB is available over the Internet on an
anonymous FTP server. Updates to these MIBs are released as new 3Com
products are introduced.
To access Internet versions:

FTP to ftp.chipcom.com
(151.104.9.65).

Enter the login name
anonymous
.

Enter your full Internet e-mail address as the password
(for example, jdoe@company.com
).

Change to the mib or schema directory using the cd /pub/mibs
or
cd /pub/mibs/schemas
command.

To view the 3Com MIB, OID, or schema entries, enter the dir
command.

To pause the display, press [Ctrl+S].
■
To continue the display, press [Ctrl+Q].

Copy the MIB, OID, or schema files to your current directory using the
appropriate command (for example, get chipcom.mib
).

To exit the FTP session, invoke the quit
command.
