• When an microSD card is inserted in the

ecorder, be sure to conrm the recording
media as either [Built-in] or [microSD] so
that there is no mistake ( P.77).

ever perform operations such as the
following while processing, as they may
damage the data. In addition, carefully
check the remaining battery level in order
to ensure that the battery will not run out
while processing.

Performing any of these operations
may damage the data.
• Never format the recorder from a PC.
• When the recorder is formatted, all the
saved data, including locked les and
read-only les, are erased.

hen returning the settings for the
functions to their initial settings, use
[R
eset Settings] (
P.78).
• Formatting on the recorder will be
Quick Format. If you format the microSD
card, information of le management
is refreshed and the data inside the
microSD card is not deleted completely.
Formatting or deleting the contents of
the microSD card or built-in memory does
not completely erase the data. When you
dispose of media, we recommend that
you take measures to prevent the loss
of sensitive data, such as destroying the
media before disposal.
