Recording your own greeting messages
You can record your own greeting
messages for TAD/FAX and TEL/FAX
modes. The recording time will be limited to
16 seconds. We recommend you record a
message less than 12 seconds in length to
make it easier to receive faxes.
Suggested message for TAD/FAX
greeting: “This is (your name, business
and/or telephone number). We are unable
to answer right now. To send a fax, start
transmission. To leave a message, speak
after the beep. Thank you.”
Suggested message for TEL/FAX
greeting: “This is (your name, business
and/or telephone number). We are unable
to answer right now. Please try again later.
Thank you.”
1 Start recording.
For the TAD/FAX greeting
Press {RECORD} 2 times.
TAD GREETING

For the TEL/FAX greeting
Press {RECORD} 3 times.
T/F GREETING
b
PRESS START
2 Press {FAX/START}.
L A long beep will sound and the
display will show the following
according to your selection in step 1.
TAD/FAX:
TAD REC. 16s
TEL/FAX:
T/F REC. 16s
3 Speak clearly about 20 cm away from
the microphone.
L The display will show the remaining
recording time.
4 When finished recording, press
{STOP}.
L The unit will repeat your message.
Adjust the volume using {+}
or {-}.
