ADF Door
Cleaning the Document Scanning Area
If the receiving party reports that the received documents were black, or contained black lines, try making
a copy on your unitto verify. If the copy isblack or has black lines, the document scanning area is probably
dirty and must be cleaned.
Open the ADF door,

Wipe the Scanning Area gently with a soft cloth
gauze wet with ethyl alcohol. Be sure to use a
clean cloth, the scanning area can be easily
scratched.
