Make the following connections when you wish to install a second pair of speakers in another room and enjoy music there.
• “Auto speaker setup using the setup microphone” (á page 24) is unavailable for speakers connected to the FRONT B terminals.
When “SPEAKERS B” is selected, the unit automatically switches the selection to “SPEAKERS A” only and uses the setting for the
auto speaker setup.
• Select “SPEAKERS B” when you wish to enjoy sounds from speakers connected to the FRONT B terminals (á page 27).
• If you select “SPEAKERS B” only, playback is 2-channel stereo. When a surround source is played, the sounds intended for all the
speakers are played through the front left and front right speakers (2CH MIX).
You can connect left and right surround speakers wirelessly by using Panasonic SH-FX50/SH-FX60 (A set consisting of a digital
transceiver and a wireless system sold separately) with the unit.
To use this option, insert the digital transceiver into the unit’s digital transceiver terminal and connect surround speakers to SH-FX50/
SH-FX60’s wireless system.
• See SH-FX50/SH-FX60’s operating instructions for details.
• Audio output changes as follows when you use surround speakers wirelessly.
- The maximum number of playback channels is 5.1. Surround back speakers become unavailable. Sounds assigned to them are
consolidated and output from surround speakers on the left and right.
- Left and right surround terminals on the unit make no audio output. (No audio is output from the terminals while the “WIRELESS
READY” indicator is flashing.)
• Make sure to turn the unit off before inserting or removing the digital transceiver.
• Surround speakers are set as connected when you perform automatic speaker detection (á page 10).
• SH-FX60’s “2-way wireless” function becomes unavailable.
• This function is unavailable when you select “MULTI ROOM ” in “Making MULTI ROOM setting” (á page 22).
To perform the auto speaker setup using the supplied setup microphone:
Settings made with the setup microphone are canceled when you insert or remove the transceiver after performing the setup.
To connect a second pair of front speakers
Making surround speakers wireless with SH-FX50/SH-FX60
The “WIRELESS READY” indicator stays on while the digital transceiver

The indicator may stay off, go off or flash in the following cases.
The indicator stays off:
• When the “SURROUND” indicator is off
• When surround speakers are set as absent (á page 35)
The indicator flashes:
• When radio waves are interrupted (when SH-FX50/SH-FX60 is off)
