Accessing Configuration Options
This chapter explains how to change configuration options for HotWire 7924-A1
models that are V.35-compatible. Chapter 4 provides similar information for
DSX-1-compatible units.
Configuration option settings determine how the unit operates. You can change a
unit’s configuration options by:
H Selecting the Board Configuration branch of the Main Menu while in Terminal
Mode.
H Changing switchpack and jumper settings on the circuit board while in
Switchpack Mode.
The Main Menu for a V.35-compatible unit on the customer premises (CP) side
appears as follows:

CP units are HDSL Termination
Units – Remote (HTUR)
CO units are HDSL Termination
Units – Central Office (HTUC)
This guide depicts the system terminal menus as they appear from a CP unit.
This is the default configuration for Model 7924 standalone units.
