6.5.2.1 How To Use Internet Explorer/Inbox
To access the Internet, and send and receive e-mail on your NETBOOK PRO you
must have the following:
1. An appropriate e-mail account.
To access the Internet and use e-mail, you will need a standard
e-mail account.
2. A modem.
You will need a modem to connect your NETBOOK PRO to the tele-
phone network. You can use the following types of modem with your
NETBOOK PRO:
• Standard external PC modems.
• PCMCIA- and CF-card modems.
• GSM radio modem, see “GSM/GPRS Radio Configuration” on page 80
for details. These are available as PCMCIA and CF cards.
• Infrared-enabled or Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones with built-in
modems.
3. A telephone connection.
If you are using a standard external modem, you will need to connect
your modem to a telephone socket. If you are using a mobile phone,
your network operator will need to enable your account so that you can
make fax and data calls on your phone. If your phone has been enabled
for fax and data calls, you should have two extra phone numbers.
Contact your network operator if you are unsure whether your account
is ‘data-enabled’.
6.5.2.2 Getting Help
