8. Click on OK to save your settings. These settings can also be changed
by entering the Control Panel and clicking on Network and Dial-Up
Connections, then on the adaptor name.
6.3 GSM/GPRS Radio Configuration
The following menus provide the configuration settings for the GSM/GPRS Globe-
trotter Option radio card. For details on setting up a modem through the serial port,
please refer to “Connecting The Modem” on page 94.
The following information is required from the GSM/GPRS network operator:
• Access Point Name (APN).
• Username and Password (if applicable).
• Some network operators also specify the IP address and NDS settings to be
used. Please consult the network operator for specific configuration parameters.
You will also need a SIM for a GSM account that has GPRS enabled. To set up the
GSM/GPRS connection:
1. Insert the GSM/GPRS radio card, with SIM, in the NETBOOK PRO.
2. Open the Control Panel.
3. Double-click on the Networks and Dial-Up Connections icon. The
following selections will appear.
