Using an Extension Telephone
You can receive a fax from someone you are talking to on the extension telephone without
having to go to the fax machine.

When you receive a call on
the extension phone and
hear fax tones, press *9*
on the extension
telephone.
The machine receives
the document.

When you are finished
speaking the machine
begins documents, hang
up the extension
telephone.

Press the buttons slowly in
sequence. If you still hear the fax tone
from the remote machine, try pressing
“
*

” once again.

*
” is the remote receive start code
preset at the factory. The first and the
last asterisks are fixed, but you can
change the middle number to whatever
digit you select. For more information,
see page 4.12.
Cancelling Reception
1
Press STOP to cancel
reception at any time.
The fax reception is
cancelled and the machine
returns to standby mode.
