Answering a Voice Request

When the phone rings,
pi up the handset and
answer it.

When you are finished,
hang up.

If you don’t answer the voice
request within 10 to 15 seconds, the
machine prints out the CALL BACK
MESSAGE list.
Using Polling
Polling is when one fax machine requests another to send a document. This is useful when
the person with the original documents is not in the office or is not going to pay for the
phone call. The person who wants to receive the document calls the machine holding the
original, and requests that the document be sent.
