Sending a fax
Delayed transmission
You can configure your machine to send a fax at a specified time. Up to 50
delayed transmission operations can be reserved in your machine.
1. Place the document face down in the automatic document feeder. If
desired, adjust the resolution and contrast. For details, see page 2.8.
2. Press Menu, then press Delay TX on the one-touch keypad.
3. Enter the telephone number of the remote machine. There are several
methods available to do this:
• Direct entry of the telephone number using the numeric keypad.
• One-touch keypad dialing of stored telephone numbers (see one-touch
dialing on page 2.32)
• Group and speed number dialing using the numeric keypad (see speed
dialing on page 2.34 and group dialing on page 2.35)
Note: You can use only one group number at this transmission job in step 3.
4. Press Start/Enter.
The display prompts you to enter another fax number.
5. If you have entered the last fax number setting, press Stop.
Or
If you want to send the document to more than one location, press
Start/Enter and enter another fax number using the numeric keypad,
one-touch keypad, or speed dial number.
The number appears in the display.
Repeat step 5 until you have entered the last fax number setting and
pressed Stop.
6. The display prompts you to enter an ID for the transmission. If you want
to assign a name to the transmission, enter it using the number keypad.
If not, proceed to step 7.
