1. Click System > SNMP Management > Security > Communities. The SNMP Community Settings Page opens:

11.4.1 Dening SNMP Notication Properties
The SNMP Notication Properties Page contains parameters for dening SNMP notication parameters.
To dene SNMP notication global parameters:
1. Click System > SNMP Management > Notication > Properties. The SNMP Notication Properties Page opens:

The SNMP Notification Properties Page contains the
following elds:
Enable SNMP Notications — Species whether the
device can send SNMP notications. The possible eld
values are:
Enable — Enables SNMP notications.
Disable — Disables SNMP notications.
Enable Authentication Notications — Species whether SNMP authentication failure notication is enabled on the
device. The possible eld values are:
Enable — Enables the device to send authentication failure notications.
Disable — Disables the device from sending authentication failure notications.
2. Dene the Enable SNMP Notication and Enable Authentication Notications elds.
3. Click . The SNMP notication properties are dened, and the device is updated.
11.4.2 Dening Notication Filters
The SNMP Notication FiIter Page permits ltering traps based on OIDs. Each OID is linked to a device feature or a portion
of a feature. The SNMP Notication FiIter Page also allows network managers to lter notications.
