Setting the Answer Mode (Line 2)
If Your WorkCentre has the 2nd line you can designate the type of
communications you would like to occur on that line (transmission or
receptions).
When the Answer Mode for Line 2 is set to Send and Receive, a
transmission is usually connected through line 2. If line 2 is busy, line
1 will be used.
A manual line selection can be made to override the default setting
for a current transmission (see Chapter 5, “Line Selection”).
The line select setting can be stored in the Speed Dial and One
Touch Key setup procedures if communications with a certain remote
party always requires this setting (refer to Chapter 2, “Setting up the
Phone book”).
* This number varies in some Countries.
Note: When the machine is set to auto answer and the set
number of rings occurs, the machine answers with a fax
signal tone and enters the Auto Receive mode.
