5.3 Data port loopbacks
The V.35 port supports line and local loopbacks:
• A line (network) loopback breaks the transmit signal on the network side between the
data port and the T1 interface and loops the data port receive signal onto the transmit side.
• A local loopback breaks the receive signal on the network side between the data port and
the T1 interface and loops the data port transmit signal onto the receive side.
Figure 5-2 on page 5-5 illustrates data port loopbacks on the Z-Plex unit.
