Take Apart Logic Board - 42
2 Raise the side of the logic board opposite the 152-pin
docking connector. Slide the docking connector out of the
bottom case and remove the logic board.
Replacement Note: Perform the battery contact
alignment procedure when you replace a logic board. (See
Additional Procedures “Align Battery Contacts.”)
Replacement Note: The 152-pin processor-direct
connector is insulated with kapton tape. If this tape is torn
or missing, carefully replace it on both sides of the
connector.
3 Carefully disconnect the microphone cable from the logic
board.
4 Disconnect the on/off board (or modem board, if
installed).
5 Disconnect the RAM expansion card (if installed).
