4 Touch the negative
voltmeter probe to the
contact nearest the
power plug and the
positive probe to the
contact second nearest
the power plug. If the
reading is not 24-25
volts, replace the
adapter.
5 Also check the AC adapter
under load. Switch on the
PowerBook and repeat
the voltmeter check.
If the reading drops
more than 1-2 volts,
replace the adapter.
