Function name: DSCP QoS Mode
Function description: In the late 1990s, the IETF redefined the meaning of the 8-bit Service Type field to accommodate a set of
differentiated services (DS). Under the differentiated services interpretation, the first six bits are a codepoint, which is sometimes
abbreviated DSCP, and the last two bits are left unused.
DSCP can form total 64 (0–63) kinds of Traffic Class, based on the arrangement of 6-bit field in DSCP of the IP packet. In the
switch, the user is allowed to set up these 64 kinds of Class that belong to any queue (low, normal, medium, high).
Parameter description:
Prioritize Traffic: Five Prioritize Traffic values are provided: Custom, All Low Priority, All Normal Priority, All Medium Priority, and All
High Priority.
The QoS setting would apply to all ports on the switch if one of the following values is selected: All Low Priority, All Normal
Priority, All Medium Priority, or All High Priority.
Port Number: When Custom is selected for Prioritize Traffic, you may assign a specific Port Number for DSCP Configuration.
DSCP Configuration: Can be 64 kinds of priority traffic as mentioned above. The user can set up any Queue (low, normal,
medium, high). In default, Priorities 0–63 map to Queue high.
