Setting Resolution, Photo and
Type Org. (contrast)
You can choose different resolution and contrast
settings to ensure the best quality when faxing
or copying a document. The setting you choose
is shown by an indicator light.
Resolution
Press the RESOLUTION button to select
between:
STD (standard) – when the original contains
easy to read text
FINE – when the original contains small or
hard-to-read text.
EX-FINE – when the original contains very
small hard-to-read text or detailed drawings.
Photo
Select PHOTO when the original contains
pictures, photographs or drawings which
contain colours or varying shades of grey.
Please note
EX-FINE and PHOTO settings for faxes take
longer to send

Press the TYPE ORG button to select between
NORMAL – when the original document is
clearly printed
DARK – when the original document is dark
LIGHT – when the original document is light

Broadcasting
You can send a single document to as many as
180 different numbers in one operation.
You can use a combination of One-Touch, Group
Dial and Speed Dial fax numbers as well as
numbers entered via the keypad. Your BF900
dials each number and sends the document. If
the number is busy, it will dial the next number
and redial the busy number at the end.
The BF900 prints a broadcast report which
tells you whether the broadcast was successful
or not – OK or NG. Any destinations which did
not receive the document will be detailed in
individual error reports.
