2 Using Narrow Paper
(Head Pressure Adjustments)
The printer has already been factory-set to the paper width of 112 mm (4.4 in). When you use
narrow paper, adjust the head pressure as follows:
1. Looking at the check window on the upper frame, align the mark (the left edge of white
plastic) with the width of the paper. (The print head is closed.)
2. Make fine adjustments, checking the print.
(a) When the print on right side is too light:
Move the mark to the right by turning the head pressure adjustment screw clockwise.
(b) When the print on the left side is too light:
Move the mark to the left by turning the head pressure adjustment screw
counterclockwise.
∗ These adjustments are useful for preventing ribbon wrinkle or paper skew. For more
