Configuring OSPFv3 Features (CLI)
This section provides information about the commands you use to configure
OSPFv3 settings on the switch. For more information about the commands

Configuring Global OSPFv3 Settings
Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to
configure various global OSPFv3 settings for the switch.
Command Purpose
configure Enter global configuration mode.
ipv6 router ospf Enter OSPFv3 configuration mode.
router-id
ip-address
Set the 4-digit dotted-decimal number that uniquely
identifies the router.
auto-cost reference-
bandwidth
ref_bw
Set the reference bandwidth used in the formula to
compute link cost for an interface:
link cost = ref_bw÷interface bandwidth
The
ref_bw
variable is the reference bandwidth in Mbps
(Range: 1–4294967).
default-information
originate [always]
[metric
metric-value
]
[metric-type

]
Control the advertisement of default routes.
always
— Normally, OSPFv3 originates a default route
only if a default route is redistributed into OSPFv3 (and
default-information originate is configured). When the
always option is configured, OSPFv3 originates a default
route, even if no default route is redistributed.
metric-value
— The metric (or preference) value of the
default route. (Range: 1–16777214)
type-value
— The value is either 1 or 2: External type-1
route or External type-2 route.

Set a default for the metric of distributed routes. (Range:
1–16777214).
