Installing The LCD Module—Rack Mode
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform
troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or
telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your
warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
1. Route the LCD cable through the cable securing bracket and through the inside wall of the chassis next to the LCD
module slot.
2. If applicable, remove the LCD module blank.
3. Insert the LCD module into the LCD module slot.
4. Connect the LCD cable to the LCD module.
5. Replace the screw.
6. Connect the LCD cable to the system board.
7. Replace the system left side cover. See Installing The System Left Side Cover.
8. Close the system.
9. Reinstall the system in a rack.
10. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.
11. If applicable, install the front bezel.
VGA Module
The VGA module is available only in the rack-mode configuration of your system.
