If the diskette you are copying to has not been formatted,
DISKCOPY formats it automatically before copying the data.
The procedure for copying diskettes depends on whether you
have one or two diskette drives. Follow the instructions below
for your model.
Using DISKCOPY with the Apex 100
1.
Make sure the diskette you want to copy is write-protected.
(See Chapter 2 for instructions.)
2.
Insert the Operating 1 diskette in drive A.
3.
At
A>
prompt, type the following and
press Enter:
DISKCOPY A: B:
MS-DOS prompts you to insert your diskettes:
Insert SOURCE diskette in drive A:
Insert TARGET diskette in drive B:
Press any key when ready . . .
4.
Remove the Operating 1 diskette from drive A. Then
insert the diskette you want to copy from (the source) into
drive A and the diskette you want to copy to (the target)
into drive B. Then press any key. If the target diskette is
not formatted, DISKCOPY formats it and then begins
copying.
When the copy is complete, you see this message:
COPY
another
diskette
(Y/N) ?
5.
Press
Y and Enter to copy another
diskette or
N and Enter
to return to the MS-DOS command prompt.
