9. Press down the blue print head unit release lever until it
clicks into place.
Note:
Make sure that the
Data
and
Paper Out
lights are not
flashing. If they are, remove the print head unit and reinsert it
properly.

Caution:
Do not remove the color print head unit once you’ve installed
it. Otherwise, the print head may become unusable.
Now follow the steps in the next section to install the color ink
cartridge.
Installing the Color Ink Cartridge
After you install the color print head, follow the steps below to
install the color ink cartridge.

Warning:
The ink cartridge is a self-contained unit. Under ordinary use,
ink will not leak from a cartridge. If ink does get on your
hands, wash them thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets
into your eyes, flush them immediately with water.

Caution:
Do not open the ink cartridge package until just before you
install the cartridge, or the ink may dry up.
