Carefully follow these steps to install a math coprocessor:

Remove the computer’s cover. See page 5-2 for instructions.
Remove the subassembly. See page 5-18.
Remove the math coprocessor from its package and set it
aside.
If you are installing an 8 MHz math coprocessor, set
jumper J2 to position A; for a 10 MHz coprocessor, set J2 to
position B. See page 5-7 for instructions.
Turn the computer so the front panel is facing you. The
math-coprocessor socket is located on the front of the main
system board next to the SIMM sockets, as shown below.
